#ad Bedwetting affects up to 15% of kids aged between 5-7 and can affect teenagers too where around puberty, kids previously dry at night can start wetting the bed again. This can be worrying for both parents/carers and the child. However the good news is that bedwetting isn’t a forever problem and lots of help and support is on hand to help the child get through this phase.   How you approach the issue will play a huge role in the management. I always tell parents to not blame their child. Children are not being naughty or lazy if they are bedwetting so approaching them with love, understanding, reassurance is key, telling them it’s ok and that it will get better… because it will.   The best people to speak to are your health visitor for younger kids or your GP. We would explore the type of bedwetting your child has - have they ever achieved a dry night or are they over the age of 5 and have been dry for 6 months or more but have started wetting the bed again? We would also try to find out what might be causing the bedwetting.   For some kids it might just be part of their natural development - remember every kid is different and comparing is an absolute no no. It could be related to lifestyle - eg. Drinking fizzy or caffeinated drinks in the evening but sometimes stress and anxiety can also cause bedwetting so understanding and supporting them is key.   To help manage your child’s bedwetting, DryNites can help so check out huggies.co.uk to find out more and of course, for advice, you can always head to the NHS website. #bedwetting #enuresis

Huggies are proud to support the @pandas_uk WhatsApp support service, which is free and open every single day between 8am - 10pm by messaging  07903 508334. It is fast becoming PANDAS’s most popular and well used support service: “Both volunteers I spoke to were extremely helpful. They really made me feel like my issues weren’t silly or that I was being ‘hormonal’ they made me feel heard. Huge thanks to them both”   “The WhatsApp option is so helpful for people who might not have the time to call. It helped me feel less lonely and when you’re feeling low just knowing someone is there to chat to makes all the difference.”   “Thank you for being very understanding and making me aware that they are there if I need support as I thought I needed support but changed my mind but still helped to know they are there if I need emotional support”   “Invaluable and life saving and life changing - thank you to all the volunteers”   Because of this service @pandas_uk were able to reach 26% more parents/carers than the year before, and Huggies are proud to have helped support struggling parents in their time of need ❤️

AD | Let’s talk about a subject we often shy away from - bedwetting. I’d love to break down the stigma and open the conversation about this. After potty training the girls, we struggled with setbacks and using @huggiesuk DryNites Pyjama Pants was a game changer, letting them go to bed calm and confident. I’d love to hear your stories and advice so please do share in the comments below. It might really help and empower another parent today 💕 #childrenshealth #parentssoftiktok #BedtimeRoutine #BedwettingTips #DryNites #Huggies #ukmumlife

It’s generally agreed that bedwetting (also known as enuresis) can be caused by a number of developmental or emotional factors, such as stress and anxiety - even overexcitement. With Christmas looming and Santa on his way, children can often start bedwetting again due to the excitement around the festive period. Here are some helpful reasons as to why this might be the case 🫶 DryNites Pyjama Pants are designed to help your child go to bed worry-free and clinically proven for a better night’s sleep. #Huggies #Drynites #Bedwetting #Christmas
