Today, we celebrate the rich diversity and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. At Hungerford, we are committed to fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for Indigenous Peoples and throughout June offered various opportunities for learning for the Hungerford team:
🗣️ Respectful Communication Training: We provided the team with training focused on fostering respectful and inclusive dialogue.
🏛️ Tour of the Museum of Anthropology (MOA): Team members had the opportunity to explore the MOA and learn about Indigenous collections, art, and traditions firsthand.
📬 Weekly Newsletters: We shared weekly newsletters covering a wide range of topics including Indigenous languages and arts, environmental research, children and youth sports, and stories about Indigenous 2SLGBTQI+ People.
We believe that education and awareness are key to building a more inclusive and respectful society. Let’s celebrate the rich diversity of Indigenous cultures and continue to learn, listen, and support each other with enthusiasm and respect.
