Hello friends. I hope you're doing well! I don't have too much to say about this one. It was a concept that I got in the spur of the moment after seeing a picture of my beautiful friend, Jess. I was caught in my own rabbit hole of deep thinking over the weekend. And as per usual, all of those silly little thoughts in my silly little brain ended up on a canvas. With this, I wanted to combine a couple of different media effects. I've been utilizing a program called Rebelle 7, which is programmed to realistically replicate traditional mediums. I've started using it for my portrait paintings/drawings. So, with this one, I combined watercolors, oil pastels, and colored pencils (the hair strands) to bring this concept to life. I definitely want to do more things like this in the future. Needless to say, this is one of my favorite pieces I've done so far this year. Shout out to my beautiful friend, Jess, for sparking something in me with her sweet and beautiful face and soul. 💗
