Feeling Grateful.
I am profoundly grateful for the launch of my initiative, Help and Hope. Our mission is to support persons, especially men in addressing mental health challenges and combating the troubling rise in suicide rates in our country.. Thank you to everyone who made the event possible.

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and research recently about which country I want to explore and experience next. Got me looking at some of the photos, here are a few…
This was my second time in Guyana, the first time was Madhia region 8, it took 8 hours to get from Georgetown to Madhia in what can only be described as a “breadvan”. These photos are from the second time in Guyana, we went to Mabaruma which is in Barima-Waini Region 1. It took us an hour by a 6 seater plane, the view was incredible.
The first photo was taken from a boat on the Essequibo River
Photos 2&3 are of the villagers and native Amerindian people who primarily live in Mabaruma
Photos 4&5 were taken at the Monty Broomes guest house where we all stayed.
Photo 6 was taken in town where most shops and bars are located
Photos 7 was taken on our way back to the guest house, an Amerindian child with his dad fishing. As his dad was talking to us, he was hiding.
Traveling to me is about learning, growing and experiencing different cultures, traditions and foods. Making memories, challenging and pushing myself to my limits.
Going down memory lane this afternoon, I can’t believe it’s been 7 years already. I was 19 and this was my first time on a flight that was longer than 3 hours. The excitement was unreal… We stayed in Wigan a small town 4 hours away from Gatwick but had the opportunity to go to a few cities and events… check them out!

Photo 2 was taken at Blackpool’s annual World Fireworks Championships Show. Teams from different countries competed for the title, with incredible displays set to music.
Photos 3 & 4 were taken on Matthew Street at the Cavern Pub where the Beatles popularity started
Photos 5&6 were taken in Lake District, one of my favorite places in England.
The Post-vacation depression was real!!
This year I’m gonna make it my aim to explore a bit more of the UK and hopefully more of Europe!!
Pursuing Purpose.
The platform that I am a part of and now represent provides the avenue to bring change.Change to the young women impacted by the same plight as I have. You are enough, you are worthy and this circumstance is an opportunity to use your pain and turn it into that catapult that propels you into great things. I’ve embraced that part of my life and I am grateful for the community I’ve had that continuously supported me.
I can truly say purpose has always been inside me, purpose for those who feel lost, abandoned, resentment, anger. I understand but don’t let this define your outcome, you are more than this!

Being the light!
My prayer ‘Help me to be a light to others and discover my purpose’. I did not envision this prayer being answered in this way. It’s amazing how we put God’s ability as far as we can see when he has so much in store for us.
At such a young age I was able to see how wrong it was for young women to grow without a father and I remember thinking how can this be? Why is this happening? It seemed like there would be no way to stop this.
