I have decided to open my self up for FaceTime/video consultations for those that are out of town/ too far to drive and out of state. Like I mentioned in my previous post. DO YOU FREAK OUT WITH CORRECTIONS⁉️⁉️⁉️ Don’t‼️‼️‼️ Break it down. I always work step by step. You can’t choose your toner or gloss till you see your lift. You don’t now what lift you will get till you start the lifting process. You don’t know what the lifting process will be till you remove color and or prep the hair. I like using @malibucpro CPR or Detox gel to do the day before my client comes in. It sets me up for success removes build up, overlays, metallic minerals, sometimes it even gets you some lift from removing color, plus so much more benefits. Yes it’s an extra appointment but you will thank me after you do this and see your results!!! Remember your client doesn’t always know what’s was put on their hair. STRAND TESTS DON’T LIE‼️‼️‼️ Always do a strand test. Always work in order with the problems you see. Mentally make notes 📝 like for me I did my strand test and knew I needed to work with three developers while lifting so that’s three bowls of bleach always. I also had a low light with a demi I worked with same time. I was working in sections doing a combination of foiling and #foiliage the whole time while tipping out some ends in between. I used a reconstructive mask after this whole process to put back those amino acids back in the hair. It’s nourishing and hydrating. Lastly I went with a demi color for my overlay to blend everything together . Cut and style and then I ended my day after 8 hours of working non stop. Do you ever get overwhelmed when someone comes in with like 5-6 different colors in the hair with banding? Don’t!!! Remember to break it down and tackle one problem at a time!! After our consultation we established that she wanted to be overall darker while utilizing extensions not just for length but to give her that dimensional melted look. We ordered two different colored Wefts for her so I can deconstruct them and custom blend them for her. @bellamihairpro Now First things first! Base!!! I had to address my clients roots first so I created her formula to cover her grays and establish her base. I used @wellahair KP 4/ and 5/ equal parts with 20v . After 15 min I then dragged the base down past her second line of demarcation to cover a band that was previously lifted too light for a base. That’s 2 problems solved now. Lastly I used my CALURA gloss from @oligopro and used a (5 neutral) to cover over everything. It’s a translucent color so I wasn’t worried it would be too dark. Normally I go a full shade up for ends. She now has an even color melted dark brown look which now will look amazing even with out extensions. The bonus today was we added length and a “dark to light” color melted extension to give her some movement and a soft dimensional look that peaks out through the hair. I love extensions and what they do for women. I want to make sure everyone is comfortable in the salon and sitting in my chair along with my co workers at other work stations and for their clients around me. With that said please stay home if: ✅you have covid, omicron, or delta variants. ✅sick with a cold or flu ✅ coughing and sneezing ✅ have allergies 🤧 ✅ have a fever ✅ blowing your nose constantly ✅ flu symptoms and body aches Unfortunately I have to be over cautious because if I get sick then I have to cancel everyone’s appointments which will push you all out even longer and then everyone suffers. Understand I will send you home if you show up with any of these symptoms. I’m doing my part to keep my workspace sanitized and ready for each client and I expect you to do your part if your sick to call/text and reschedule asap. I understand some circumstances may arise where you have to reschedule the day of your appointment. I would rather you reschedule than spread germs around in the salon. I’m working with anyone who has a deposit down for an appointment and needs to reschedule within the 24 hour cancellation period. Please don’t worry about losing your money. NEW CLIENTS of 2022 I now charge for a 30 min consultation. To reduce the number of cancellations, wasting my time & limiting appointments for serious inquiries only. The $25 goes towards your next booking if you decide to move forward after the consultation. The charge for consultation is taken at the time of the booking or it’s not booked. 99% of my consultations book their next appointment anyways so this is put towards their next appointment. If you do not want to move forward then the $25 was for my time I blocked to do a consultation. I had a client recently say “do I have to date you first” lol 😂 Basically YESSS!!! Some may say why a consultation? Well here’s why: ✅ I want to be able to physically see & touch your hair to be able to see the condition, texture, density and porosity. These are all important things to consider when coloring hair. ✅ go over your hair goals ✅ go over what you like/dislike ✅ talk about your lifestyle & how you wear your hair every day. For example: are you a person who does your hair every day or throws it up in a top knot on the top of your head? I would’nt want to give you a high maintenance look when your a low maintenance person. ✅ making sure we are on the same page. Very important if your expectations are in one direction & your hair isn’t going to let us get there in one sitting. ✅ going over home care/products used ✅going over the right extension methods for your hair. Maybe your hair is too fragile for extensions so we need to go another rout? ✅ blocking the correct amount of time for your hair whether that’s 3 hrs or 8 hrs ✅ will you be a client who only comes once to fix your hair or will you be a new loyal client? This is important to me as I have a lot of clientele in rotation & I may not be able to give a whole day to a color correction & go through lots of hours of work to fix your hair if I won’t see you again after. REMINDER GOING INTO 2022 ❌❌❌❌❌❌ NO MAKEUP SERVICES TILL FURTHER NOTICE. Unfortunately I still will not be performing any makeup services going in to 2022. Do to COVID-19, all the restrictions, the number of cases arising everyday and the new variants I DO NOT want to risk any virus contamination on my products or tools that I spend a lot of money on. Even though I am super OCD about being sanitary and sanitizing everything after each client I am choosing to stop all makeup services. I want to keep my products and tools all sanitized, safe and packed up till I feel it will be the right time to perform makeup services again.
