Nick Capodilupo ’24 (@nickcapodilupotenor )is a voice performance major and football player at Ithaca College who loves belting out the “Star-Spangled Banner” for stadium audiences. “I have sung the national anthem so many times I have lost count,” shares Nick. He first performed the piece for an audience when he was in ninth grade. “The biggest thing for me is realizing what the song means,” he says. A high note? When Nick sang the national anthem at Yankee Stadium for the 63rd Cortaca Jug game. This opportunity led to another when the Yankees invited him back to New York City to perform it again to open one of their baseball games. Nick was ecstatic: “I owe a huge thank you to Ithaca football.” Listen to Nick’s powerful rendition of the “Star-Spangled Banner”—and have a safe and happy Fourth of July! #FourthOfJuly #Nationalanthem #IthacaCollege @ithacamtd @bomber_sports

“I’m Gonna Marry You Tobey Maguire” has Ithaca College baked into its DNA. Written by Samantha Hurley ‘18 for Saviana Stanescu’s playwriting class, the play has exploded into a full length y2k farce with Ithaca alum at the helm. Directed by Tyler Struble ‘19, scenic designed by Rodrigo Hernandez Martinez ‘19, and produced by Jacob Stuckelman ‘19, the play premiered off-Broadway in the summer of 2023 at Nancy Manocherian’s The Cell Theater. “I’m Gonna Marry You Tobey Maguire” will open soon in London at the Southwark Playhouse Borough. We celebrate this triumphant team of alumni as they continue to showcase the power of collaboration.

Melodic Mentor: London Diaries: We’re now just days away from ICLC’s 50th anniversary celebration June 28–30! In anticipation, we’ve been chronicling some of our adventurers and trailblazers—students, alumni, and faculty who have found and guided transformation in IC’s longest-running study abroad program. Say hello to the vocal virtuoso, Jacqueline Barron! For over two decades, she’s been strengthening singers' voices at the @iclondoncenter . If you’ve ever been enchanted by the soundtracks of Lord of the Rings, Hunger Games, or Harry Potter, you’ve heard Jacqueline’s magic. Her voice has graced hundreds of films and she also played Christine Daaé in Phantom of the Opera in the West End! Fast forward to today, Jacqueline is not only busy in the studio but remains a beloved faculty member at the Ithaca College London Center (ICLC). She advises her students to be so thoroughly prepared that they can then be brave. Fun fact: Some of her notable students include @kathryndallison '14 (Aladdin), @oliviadonalson '15 (Six, the Musical), @jeremymjordan '07 (Newsies, Great Gatsby), and @ali.louis ’21 (Tommy). Tune in to Jacqueline’s story with the link in our bio. #LondonCenter50th #ICLC #ithacacollege

On #Juneteenth , Ithaca College recognizes the implementation of the 13th Amendment that led to the emancipation of all enslaved African Americans in the United States. In recognition of the United States' second Independence Day, the college is closed to observe the federal holiday and will be providing educational resources and local businesses in the Linktr.ee in our bio.

Meet Rob Engelsman ’11, vice president of the Ithaca College Alumni Association Board of Directors. His connection to the IC community has only grown stronger since graduation, with countless cherished friends and rewarding professional collaborations. In his recent speech during the recent Commencement, Rob acknowledged that his IC education empowered him to ask the big questions. These kinds of questions are easier to pursue “when you have over 70 thousand friends and mentors to be curious with,” Rob says, in a nod to IC’s highly engaged alumni network. Join us for the college’s Alumni Weekend, June 21–23, when we will celebrate the spirit of inquiry and the IC family. We are excited to welcome you back to South Hill this summer! Want to know how curiosity inspired Rob? Read his story with the link in our bio. #ICAlumni #Alumniweekend #IthacaCollege

“Reel” World Scholar: London Diaries: We’re counting down the days until the IC London Center’s 50th anniversary celebration June 28–30! Along the way, we’ll be chronicling some of our adventurers and trailblazers—students, alumni, and faculty who have found and guided transformation in IC’s longest-running study abroad program. Meet Phil Melanson, an IC London Center faculty member with a blockbuster background in movie marketing and media expertise. Phil’s mission? He helps to equip our students with the industry insights and professional tools they need to thrive. “I aim for my students to leave with confidence gained from an in-depth understanding of how the industry operates,” he says.
