my first ever dance photoshoot was such a memorable experience for me 💗💗 the photos turned out amazing, considering it was my first time trying out this photoshoot thing 🫶 a huge thank you to @taneodanceacademy for this wonderful opportunity, and also the teachers for patiently guiding me through the whole photoshoot :)

student leaders investiture: pt 2 of 2 (continued from previous post !!) to my olson hl fam, whether or not you’re a senior from last year or the previous year, or even a p5 olson hl, we have been through so much together. it has truly been an honour to serve this amazing house, full of joy and laughter. i will always miss our weekly meetings and the memories we have made during each meeting. thank you all so so much 🫶 to the new house caps, continue on our legacy !! i believe in each of you guys and you wouldn’t have been elected if the school didn’t deem you fit, so always remember that :) best of luck in your leadership journey, and always feel free to reach out if needed. this sl family is a dream come true. i would have never believed if you told me as a primary 1 student that i would become a house leader, i always dreamed of being a prefect, but hey, look where i am now 💗 if you’re longing to be a student leader, i’d say show the best version of yourself and always pursue that dream, because one day something you never would have imagined could possibly just be right in your reach. you will learn so many important core values being a sl, and i can assure you that you will never regret having that courage to step up and be a servant leader. it has been a true pleasure to have been part of mgs house leadership, and i will never forget any memories i have made through my time as a house leader. signing off, olson house captain 2023-2024, ivette

student leaders investiture: pt 1 of 2 ⁉️ credits to @elenatanhx for the inspiration from her long paragraph 🫶 woah. how has my leadership journey flown by so fast? these two years i have spent serving mgs, from being newly elected as an olson house leader, to crying during ltc last year, and finally to be stepping down as the olson house captain yesterday, have been a complete blur. to have gone through my student leadership journey and all of its ups and downs, i wouldn’t have been able to do it without the overwhelming support from my teachers, friends and parents. these key individuals have played such a HUGE role in shaping me into the leader i am today, and i will never be able to thank each of them more tremendously. to all of my friends who have been there with me through practically everything, i couldn’t have done it without you guys. at all. it is your words of encouragement that have pushed me to be a better servant leader, not only to mgs, but also to god. and to my amazing fellow house captains for year 2023-2024, this journey has been impeccable. from being first elected as house captains, to the first march-in during the investiture last year, to taking attendance every week, to the “before-going-on-stage-for-an-announcement” pep talk, to the igl project, and finally to the last time we would be marching in during the investiture yesterday, i wouldn’t choose better people to do this with. along with ensuring that we have done our duties, we have also created a remarkable bond amongst one another, and this bond is so treasurable. we have grown so much compared to our first announcement on stage, and along with that we have learnt a lot of values and have many achievements that we never have thought we could have achieved. and lastly, to the student leadership teachers, your guidance and support have been key in my journey as a student leader. many student bodies only see us, the student leaders, but they should see what is beyond our appearance, what have enabled us to be able to serve our school. what they should see is your endless guidance. after two whole years of serving mgs, i can proudly say that i have been outvested. 🫶, ivette
