“Unplanned embrace”
As we were reaching our last hours of wandering through Munich, we heard some beautiful piano music from a street nearby, we couldn’t help but be guided by that sound.
Walking towards it, we realized it was a bit more than a street performance, we saw a man putting his soul on a piano, and sharing that with whoever is willing to.
As we were enjoying the music, we suddenly realized that we have a camera in our bag, so we decided to approach Mr. Ralph Kiefer and asked if it was okay to film him. That’s how this came out.

Excerpt from our latest shooting sessions.
This is part of a possible upcoming project that surrounds around the idea of origin and loss, exploring space as its main subject. The nature of the project is vague and unclear, by design. We kept ourselves locked away from deciding on what this project is going to be while shooting and constructing footage. All of the choreography and cinematography is improvised in a flow that we ourselves don’t have any control over.
The conclusion of this project will be released in the future, with no specific deadline, for now.

Boxes, crises, and humans getting lost in the space between.
This work is a reflection on the disturbing times we are living in. The story of those who have lost their homes, their choice, is no longer individual. In response to the rising hate and fear, our answer is art.
The quote found on the final piece is from artist Nils Frahm (@leiterverlag ) while he was working on his music soundtrack for ELLIS (@jr ), a film about Ellis Island located in New York Harbor, which was the busiest immigrant inspection and processing station in the United States.

JJ Studios — a place to tell complicated stories.
This project is a collaboration between two brothers (@mustafa.jjasim & @ahmed.jjasim ) to express their creative visions. The future is unknown and very little is clear, our path will draw itself as we go.
