Naturally, my body dysmorphia forces me to first focus on flaws when I look at this photo or any photo of myself for that matter. I’m sure a lot of people can relate to a similar thought pattern. In that moment of feeling “not good enough,” everyone has a decision they can make. Continue to comfortably soak in that negative energy and head down a path of self destructive behavior, or accept that feeling of insecurity as a challenge to overcome. 1 placing short of taking the overall. I’m learning in real time this sport can be a very quick and erratic roller coaster ride of emotions around a show day. Despite the unwanted outcome, this week couldn’t have gone more according to plan in terms of peaking and it showed in the physique I presented. Disappointed, proud, and now after a night of sleep, motivated to improve. Back to work for show #2 in Houston #roadtopro #bodybuilding

Story time. 13 years ago my English teacher passive aggressively told my 15 yr old, 145lb self I needed to eat more. I just want to thank her for body shaming me that day. Unlike those who complain about being shamed and continue to live in an eternal insecure state of mind, I silently thought to myself about the words she spoke and made the decision to follow her advice

5/6 week out update and some random prep stats😵‍💫 This was taken right after a leg training session so not very many lines showing because of the pump Since March 2 (start of diet&cardio, 70 days ago), ~20lbs lost - 2lbs/week 70 cardio sessions (52.5 hours) 420 meals 2 “cheat” meals (burger and fries both times) 49 homestyle rice krispy treats eaten 175lbs of cooked chicken and ground beef eaten (roughly 200+ raw lbs) Hours spent flexing in front of a mirror - who knows Hunger and cravings have increased dramatically over the last week. I’ve become noticeably irritable and can feel my patience being tested more than usual. All signs that we’re heading in the right direction. We’re aiming for that Saran Wrap skin this year. This isn’t supposed to be a walk in the park and I’m here for it
