On June 27, the JLCO performed for the first time at Joseph M. Bryan, Jr. Theater at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, N.C. Performing tunes by the masters and contemporaries, the JLCO opened the concert with “We See” composed by Thelonius Monk and arranged by Sherman Irby, and concluded with “Mama G aka Nellie Bly” composed by Wayne Shorter and arranged by Chris Crenshaw.
