In November of 2008, I was a freshman at @ncatsuaggies we ran outside in the rain the night Obama was elected while My President Is Black was blasting on every inch of campus. In April of 2024, I am one of the Executive Producers on a documentary narrated by Jeezy that speaks to the just how impactful that song was on our culture. Favor ain’t fair but I am so grateful that God favors me! 2 more days till Hip Hop And The White House will stream on HULU!

I’ve attended quite a few premieres but last night was special. The premiere of Hip Hop And The White House. We were in a room where I got to see, hear and feel the reactions of others while this very precious project played on a theatre screen. I’m still taking it all in. I can’t wait till the world gets to see it on April 22nd.. three more days yall ! Thank you @camaraaunique for making me look like a superstar last night ! Thank you @porsalinisrael for not making me look like a waitress 😂 thank you @executive_vip_llc for getting us from place to place safely!

This pic was taken in Houston last year on a shoot for Hip Hop And The White House. I had no idea when we did this shoot last year in May that we’d be here 12 months later ! Here’s what I do know.. I went into every single shoot as if I was shooting for it to be the best doc I could ever produce. We used the best crew, the best cameras, the best. So when the HULU call came… we were ready!
