you make this place beautiful. the ‘afternoon T’ 🫖
I have been working with the
@britishfashioncouncil as a guest curator for this
@londonfashionweek takeover of the
@icalondon celebrating 40 years of LFW this year with a special spotlight on some of the marginalised communities that have influenced the industry without being rightly acknowledged.
The afternoon tea was a way to gather some of London’s wonderful trans and non-binary community to celebrate the exhibition showcasing the wonderful queer designers and garments taking London by storm - as well as the beautiful intricate work of
@remainsofd in collaboration with
@inesmichelotto as well as to come together in a safe haven closed off to anyone else; something so many of us realised we had never experienced before.
with performances by
@1.chloe.f and
@tomrasmussen we came together to hold one another, celebrate trans creatives, see ourselves reflected everywhere around us and fill a room with pure joy. It was so special for me to give back to the community that I will forever belong to, bring with me and attempt to facilitate space for whenever I can.
thank you to
@carolinerush and the entire BFC Team - with such special thanks to
@julien_marnier who without this would have not been possible and for every person who filled this room and came to see the exhibition over the weekend
I am so full of love 🤍
