What. A. Dream. 😍 My, my, my was this good to our souls! 🥰
Still reveling over our local
#BlackMaternalHealthWeek event.
This was a dream and vision come true! We have seen our birthworkers support so many families, work tirelessly, sacrifice sleep and time with family/loved ones, and commit to Black birthing people in our community and beyond.
We wanted our birthworker community to feel SAFE, uplifted, loved on, and be able to have a little fun…and that’s just what we did!
While we are VERY aware that our community NEEDS us, we must also be aware that we need to pour into ourselves to continue our work. Creativity, endurance, and nourishment comes from a place of rest. And rest is indeed our birthright just as much as we know ‘Our Bodies STILL Belong to Us’!! We truly hope our community got a little love to carry on!
