A farm to table dining experience
@barn8restaurant offers a seasonal menu, using sustainable ingredients- all from the garden on-site and neighboring farms.
We (of course) checked out the cocktail list first, being completely blown away by the unique ingredients and attention to detail.
Cocktails we had:
A Pretty Fungi - Pisco, shiitake mushroom infused sherry, lillet blanc, lemon, egg white, shiso
Ume Oh My- Japanese whisky, ume plum, sake, persimmon vinegar, fire bitters
Red Hot Mama - Local agave spirit with habanero + cilantro piquillo, ginger, lime, fresno
Garden Gnome - tequila, kiwi, lime, yellow chartreuse, cava
Clear as Day - clarified milk punch, honeysuckle, gin, apple, lemon
Deciding on a meal was hard, because everything sounded amazing!
Food we ordered:
Canestri - housemade pasta, mushroom cream sauce, sun dried tomatoes, snap pea, asparagus, lemon, parmigiano
Braised Rabbit Leg - wild rice, nduja, snap peas, golden raisins, dried apricot, sauce piquillo
Lamb Loin Chops - Freedom Run Farm Lamb, curried gregola, mint, parsley
Highly recommend taking a drive out to Goshen, KY for this dining experience!
