Today we said goodbye to our sweet boy Nero. 12 years ago, Winston brought Nero home because he was the only dog in the shelter that wasn’t barking and seemed “calm”(Ha!) Clearly, Winston has a thing for dark haired, strong willed, and short legged dogs/people and 2 years later, I joined the family and the rest is history.
Nero loved camping, the snow, chasing squirrels, nose time, chicken hunts, his multiple beds & blankets, and hanging out with his people. He was a big ole mama’s boy, but also loved his spare human (sorry, Winston).
We spent today watching his favorite movies and celebrated his 14th birthday with an In N Out puppy patty, a turducken chewy, and chicken jerky since you only live once. He enjoyed the fall weather, cuddles, and we made the most of our last day together. We are so happy he is no longer in pain and know my mom was waiting to greet him in heaven. Nero you will be forever missed and always remembered ♥️
Back to our happy place ♥️ Filled with morning snorkel/dive trips to see dolphins, turtles, and all the fishes! Not pictured, all beach laying and beer drinking that followed. #bigisland#snorkelaroundtheworld#divetravel#gopro#hawaii
