Julie & Tanner knew from day 1 that they wanted to elope. When they first reached out to me, they said they just wanted a go-with-the-flow day where they just spent time with one another—which happens to be my favorite kind of couple. They are also fun-seeking, Yahtzee-playing, NASCAR fans who sought the beauty Colorado had to offer, and I am SO grateful they chose me. Also, can we just have a moment for the green dress and purple suit? I mean COME ON.
When a couple reaches out to me for an elopement, I take on more of a planner role. I knew that they wanted to enjoy their day filled with horseback riding, snacks, hiking, and quality time, so I made sure to create a timeline that incorporated all of these things and more. I suggested sharing a first dance as husband and wife, and they loved the idea. After the ceremony, we zoomed through the mountains to get to this perfect spot where I turned on my Bluetooth speaker & sent them off. I literally can’t believe we got this stunning Colorado sunset, and geez, sometimes I can’t believe my job is to show people around the mountains, help them get married, and take their photo. I love this life.
So tell me, are you thinking about eloping? Would you share your first dance in the mountains? Tell me your go-to song below, and share for elopement and wedding inspo.
