Sisters Marissa
#BridgetRegan & Eve
#JoanneKelly are pitted against each other at a young age. Dad
#SamuellRoukin is obsessed w/ Art & feels adversity but a the way to great artists. He is not the best of dads. Consequently, he favors younger Eve
#CarolineSkye over younger Marissa
#LeahTompkins . IDK why, as her painting seems quite good to me. To say this caused a rift later in life is an understatement.
Marissa moved away. Eve stayed. Marissa went on to become a painter anyway & is in the process of getting a show up in a prominent gallery. Eve has become something of a shut in, despite critical acclaim when young (or maybe because of it).
My 1st instinct is root for Marissa, because she had the worse childhood, but in the absence of their father, she’s gotten crueler. The center of their current dispute is 3 famous paintings worth $20 million each from their father’s collection & willed to Eve. Marissa WANTS those! So, she tries to drive Eve madder than she already is & get her institutionalized.
However, local Cormack
#AlainUy has influence over Eve since they all were kids. He’s now a local tattoo artist & he’s trying to get the paintings donated to a local museum. Putting himself directly in Marissa’s way.
While Eve would like nothing better than to reconnect w/ her sis, when she discovers her plot to get the paintings, she chooses to do something radical. The act plays a bit into the older woman’s plans, but then she pulls a Houdini. Before she goes, she’s got a little something for Marissa.
