The last time I saw
@jesse_malin was at the joyous celebration for the 20th anniversary of The Fine Art Of Self Destruction, back in March 2023. Working on that album was an exciting time, and I am still extremely proud to have been part of that process. So I was thrilled that he asked me to sit in to play “Cigarettes And Violets” on that special night.
As many of you know, shortly after that he had a rare spinal stroke that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Since then, he’s been going through experimental (and expensive) treatments and physical therapy. Amazingly, he will be taking the stage for the first time since then for two shows at the Beacon Theater on December 1st & 2nd.
