This jump will always be one of my favorites because it’s a representation of BASE for me. On the exit there is noise, chaos and laughs- followed by complete solitary intimacy with reality. 3.5 years ago when we first started @livenotmrw I wanted to do a funny viral skydive with @_anthony_decarlo_ and this is what we came up with. I remember when it first started getting reposted by big accounts I was glued to my phone. I was sitting at wrestling practice eager to get out early so I can go check my notifications, when I realized how addicting something like “attention” can really be. I was sacrificing where I was in the moment (at practice) to go read what strangers were saying online. So I made a rule for myself that it’s ok to appreciate affirmation online, but not at the expense of what you’re doing. You must enjoy the actual activity more than you enjoy sharing it. I have wanted to swim in The Devils Pool on top of Victoria Falls since I was a kid. Victoria Falls is a 350ft waterfall that separates Zambia from Zimbabwe on the Zambezi River. The Devils Pool is a natural infinity pool where you are able to sit at the top of the largest (width) waterfall in the world. Just to get here we took a 14 hour flight, followed by another 7 hour flight, and then an 8 hour drive.
