This… but so much more. Since I decided I wanted to bodybuild on a competitive level, my goal has and will continue to be the best bodybuilder I can potentially be and grow into. This has never been a short term goal for me - it’s a long term plan and I mean hell it’s my entire life. Everything I do revolves around bodybuilding! The progress we made this past off-season I’m beyond proud of, but as any great athlete knows - I’m damn hungry to improve and hungry to refine this process even more. What does that mean? Well next time I compete I want the changes to be unrecognisable once again as they were this time. At my lowest weight this prep I was still a HUGE 10.3kg under my weight cap as an Amateur, which for some they might hate, but for me it only excites me for what that means in terms of my physique and the potential that I have yet to unlock. Especially after the result of this weekend for myself. What’s next? Over the next 12-18 months, Scotty and me will grow my physique to the next level it needs once again, so that I can be as competitive as possible on any national stage that I step on. So no, no nationals this season for me for those who have asked. Allot of people want to compete but lack what it takes to be competitive. Patience and long term planning. I’m very young, fresh, beyond determined and I know that no matter what, I’ll do absolutely anything to do the work towards achieving the goal’s that I have set out for myself. “Potential means absolutely nothing if you’re not willing to do what it takes to unlock it.” I absolutely love bodybuilding.

Show day definitely lives up to the hype, but do you know exactly how much time goes into a comp prep? Let Team Goble’s Josh break it down and remind you: it’s a full-time job (on top of a full time job). #teamgoble #bodybuilding #bodybuildinglifestyle

Stick to the word you make to yourself and honour it without failure and you’ll find it hard not to feel incredibly confident in yourself. Not fake arrogant confidence. True, unwavering belief in your ability to the do exceptional things you want to do.

One of my favourite looks of all prep. 10 days out. Post workout slight pump. Flat, but shredded. It’s funny how as each day comes to a close you’re increasingly excited to wake up the next morning to see how you look, if you’ve hit a new low, if there’s new lines anywhere. As exhausting those last few weeks are, they’re some of the most enjoyable and memorable of the process.

Are you in this just to perform or are you in this to improve? Because each progress look’s different for most.

Jan 2021 ➡️ Jun 2024 Roughly 84kg to 96kg in these pictures. Countless consistency of blood, sweat and tears into this. Proud, but very much know that I’ve only scratched the surface of what I’m capable of. (Last slide is how I feel about my hairline.)

Chasing a Pro Card over of a Pro Physique… Now I’m not saying that doing a national show/pro qualifier is the wrong thing to do if you don’t have a pro quality physique just yet. I want to exclusively say, this is JUST for those wanting to be high level competitors. Doing it just for the experience, more stage time to develop more confidence or you simply just enjoy your time up there and enjoy the challenge are more than valid reasons to do those shows! But I am suggesting that if you want to do a Pro Qualifier with the goal of turning pro and being a competitive one, and your feedback is that you need a bigger off-season with more time to grow and get better. Then I do believe you should be doing just that and putting your focus into those areas instead. Bodybuilding is much more than your time on the stage, you spend most of your time eating high levels of food, progressing with training and aiming to get better. Don’t get so caught up on the status of something if you aren’t ready for that just yet, enjoy every part of this lifestyle.

Don’t use the excuse that you don’t have time. You do have time. You don’t have the focus. It’s the ultimate weapon in the war against time. Time reminds you how much you need to get done, or haven’t done yet. Focus locks you in that seat until you’ve finished. Time tells you to stop what you’re doing and do something else. Focus tells you there’s more to do. Lock in. Get the task done.

10kg up from stage weight and feeling gooood. Treating the reverse like a prep does wonders for the physique 🤷🏼‍♂️
