2022 Reel! Today marks one full year of freelancing so I thought I’d share a montage of some clips from the past 12 months. Since going freelance last September I’ve been afforded so many amazing opportunities which has led to life changing experiences. It’s been so rewarding being able to learn and challenge myself personally and professionally every day. I appreciate the relationships I’ve built this year and the people who have trusted me with your projects, visions, and stories. 2023 was a year full of new failures, successes, friendships, projects, adventures, and discoveries. It was the hardest year in so many ways but the most fulfilling and purposeful. Here’s to hoping 2024 keeps bringing challenges to overcome, new friends to tackle them with, and the opportunities to contribute to telling the stories we believe in!

We had a beauty team come together last year to create this commercial for the MS Society of Canada. Showing that invisible illnesses impact people every single day in many different ways. The full Meraki Project video

It’s more than a bracelet. Teasing the bracelet fundraising campaign video and some frames from the trip to Uganda with @the.merakiproject . I had the honor of documenting the beautiful work of @annikaphillips07 , Kevin, and Herbert. The Meraki Project is a non profit working, in a refugee settlement in Northern Uganda, primarily with South Sudanese children who’ve been displaced due to war. The Meraki Project team has worked with this venerable population for years and I was fortunate to observe the work first hand. The purchase of a bracelet = a years worth of school fees for a student. The school has wells, a feeding program, sport, and opportunities for them to express themselves through art. The sales for the bracelets will launch in a few weeks and we’ll share the details then. 100% of the profit goes toward paying schools fees and ensures that the student returns to school next year. Big thanks to the @the.merakiproject team for the work they do and to @ciaranroxburgh for his time and energy with the text animation. Video stills | Ukraine August 2022 🇺🇦 . . I shot photo and video almost every day for the last month with the help of my talented fixer and friend, Oleksiy. I still have many, many hours of footage and interviews to review and to have transcribed/translated. I’m extremely grateful for all of the people who gave me their time and trust. To the Ukrainians who told me about their experiences of life before the war and life during the invasion. The brave people who let me join them on their humanitarian runs. The new soldiers who allowed me to document a small part of the process of them training to defend their country’s independence. The Ukrainians, despite living under daily bombardment, welcoming me into their homes and sharing. To all of the others who told me a part of their story and to the friends I made, Thank you.
