Well that’s our trip come to an end and what an amazing time we have had from start to finish. From training at different gyms, walking 15-20km a day, cold, wet, sunny and finally warm! Tried different foods, sampled lots of yummy treats, had lots of laughter and spent valuable time with family and friends. Visiting lots of our family past, seeing where we used to live and then exploring London like tourists. Now to pack up again and get ready for our long trip “home”. Very much looking forward to seeing our fur and human babies. Packed up and left Paris and through the Eurostar, under the sea and arrived in London. Blue sky finally and some heat to the sun. Took a picnic to Hyde Park and fed the squirrels!! Amazing views of the city from the London Eye and walked back to our apartment via Big Ben. 21km done! 20km walked and every single part was amazing. From Maisons Laffitte to Moulin Rouge. A coffee shop that employed people with disabilities which was absolutely incredible (Cafe Joyeux) and certainly made us smile from our hearts, to sitting at the Trocadero in the sunshine, just watching the world go by. We tasted all the delights and I had a kombucha while hubby had a beer!! What an amazing day filled with so many emotions. Kids schools, our family houses, (where our past animals are buried), centre of Paris and then met up with friends we haven’t seen for 14 years. Nearly 19km done and loved every single step. Also amazed at still being able to understand and speak French although with a funny accent! Leaving my original homeland for another. We spent nearly 5 years on the outskirts of Paris and arrived back last night after 14 years. The weirdest coincidence happened. We got off the train at Chatelet Les Halles and I had a tap on my shoulder. It was my ex work colleague from the British School of Paris. The chances of that happening is so small, quite incredible. Mull of Galloway, the southern most point in Scotland. Known as the view of the five kingdoms. England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and the Kingdom of Heaven (also a great view of The Isle of Man). This lighthouse (still works) and fog horn was shut down in 1988, when the last family left. Music covers the noise of the wind!
