DJ-Kicks: DJ BORING coming July 12th, ‘You Luv Me’ single out now! Since listening to DJ BORING’s earworm spawning productions and witnessing his high NRG mixes, we knew we had to ask him to compile this issue of DJ-Kicks. “At first, I was going to do something completely different – it was just going to be dance music! But I think a lot of people like the at-home listening aspect, and that really resonated with me – it’s what I enjoy. I want people to feel that they can put the mix on at the start of their night, while they’re cooking dinner, before ramping up a bit before going out.” - DJ BORING The 2LP features two new oranges from DJ BORING along with music from tracks from Patrick Holland, Jeffrey Sfire and SOPHIE under their Sfire alias, Sally C, Cameo Blush, Burnski, Bambounou, Matisa, and Leo Pol. Check out the link in our bio for preorders and a full tracklist. We promise this one is far from boring.

On your marks, get set, go, @131bpm 'F*ck Me Up', the first single off the upcoming Galop EP is out now. An EP endowed with an affirmative, equine and driving energy artfully counterbalanced with a playful and sensual touch: there's currently sweat dripping down from the ceiling. The titling of the individual tracks point to a club focus, good strong tools – say neigh more. Skillfully jacking the rhythms throughout this EP the Kilowatt, Body Language (Berlin) and Vitamina (Milan) resident uses his experiences DJing and organizing sound at different parties to build varied arrangements. Galop, don't walk to the link in our bio. Tracklist: Galop Bænce Do You Have A Key? F*ck Me Up Bænce (NIKS Remix) Galop (Byron Yeates Remix)

@dj.boring took a dip with us over on @refugeworldwide ahead of his upcoming DJ Kicks. Pull up a chair, cast your line, and take a listen. You might just get snagged.

Grab some bait, your strongest line, and a cooler of refreshments for an hour of Gone Fishing with @dj.boring With an interview, an original mix and a distinct lack of fishy smell this one truly is a best catch.

Supercontinent EP from @kassiansound out now! Their second release for !K7 Records was built in their hardware-forward studio in a Northeast London container complex. This renewed focus brought them to Supercontinent EP, named for the ancient geological era when Africa and South America were joined as Pangea. A reformulation of rhythmic ideas inspired by South African Amapiano and South American Baile Funk governs the two hemispheres of the record. The pair examine and deconstruct dancefloor material, eschewing 4/4 for interlocking shaker patterns, searing acid lines, cracking breakbeats, and vocal samples in Zulu and Brazil Portuguese. Now available on vinyl and digitally. Get yourself a copy or risk being left 300 million years behind. Link in bio/stories. Thanks to @djmagofficial for premiering our track ‘Yami’ from our Supercontinent EP 🫡 We wanted to make a stripped-back dub track that compliments the A-side ‘Yena’. Both draw from Amapiano with Zulu vocals, log drums and a UK bass-style composition. We love working with new textures and sounds in the studio and we really pushed ourselves with this one🥁🔊❤️ 🎶☁️You can stream the premiere of ‘Yami’ on DJ Mag’s SoundCloud. The full EP is out tomorrow! 🔉Link in bio

“Swirly-hippy, not-quite-dance music“ and posolutely not the next Justice. Displeased with the state of techno at the time, Holden eschewed standard club tracks for a eclectic compilation you’d never expect to so seamlessly weave together. Now 14 years old, the alternative take on dance music was, and in many ways still is, ahead of it’s time. @james__holden
