Kaleido Shoots 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Hi friends, It’s the beginning of 2024 and we thought it’s the perfect opportunity to introduce ourselves! We are Kaleido Shoots - pronounced kuh-lai-duh shoots 😄 Our name is inspired by the word kaleidoscope which is a toy tube that contains mirrors, pieces of coloured glass and other shapes whose reflections produce changing patterns. On a symbolic level a kaleidoscope refers to the everchanging and endless possibilities contained in the human experience. Our inclusivity as a queer owned and queer friendly business is deeply reflected in our business name and values. 📷 Who are we? Kaleido Shoots is founded by V (left) and Lucy (right) two versatile creatives who joined their forces in late 2018 to start what we now refer to as an inclusive & inspiring photographic practice. 📷 What we do? We capture happenings of all kinds - that can expand within the performance, club and corporate settings. Movement, connection and love are things that get us excited which takes us to our second forte - we shoot weddings! More about our weddings here @kaleidoweddings 📷 Our style? Some clients have called us chameleons in the past, we like that! We blend in with the environment and love to capture the essence of the moment, both from a distance and close. Working with us you can expect laughter, silliness, fun, openness, understanding and kindness. April was full of adventures and creative collabs, we are so grateful to work with such talented and inspiring people!🥹 📸 We started the month documenting @blxckstage at @theclaphamgrand - Blackstage is a non-profit events company that exists to centre and enhance the creativity of pole dancers of colour with a special focus on those who are Queer, Trans, Disabled, Low income or sex workers.🖤 📸 Next we were invited to take photographs at @brightonanimation a 3 day annual not-for-profit festival every April run by animators for everyone. 📸 First daytime party by @galpalsclub happened at @patternsbtn , so hyped that we captured all the joy - Gal Pals is a queer dance party centring queer women, trans and non-binary people. 📸 Our second time documenting @sussexpolesoc at Falmer, a warm and welcoming community run by students for students, for all ages, genders, sexualities, religions, and backgrounds. (Photos coming soon ☺️) 📸 A stunning headshots session with @iamlizziejordan & @jackiepiecrusts & Susie.😎 📸 Finally we had the honour to document (video & photo) History Club: Brighton Trans*formed by @marlboroughproductions & @roniguettap .
