In the past 10 days, I've had an incredibly fulfilling time. I've been hard at work, indulging in play, creating music, and enjoying the company of wonderful friends. On top of that, I've acquired some new equipment for my studio. I feel incredibly fortunate for all these blessings! However, amidst this joy, I've become acutely aware of something deeply troubling: a humanitarian crisis is unfolding. The media's attention is being diverted elsewhere, inundating us with trivial news and distractions. While my social media feeds overflow with frivolous content like memes, cooking tutorials, and party photos, I can't shake the knowledge that countless people are suffering. People are starving, facing violence, and enduring unimaginable hardships, reminiscent of past centuries. As a member of the human race, I feel compelled to take responsibility for our collective future, utilizing the tools at my disposal. It pains me to acknowledge that my own country is contributing to this crisis by manufacturing and selling weapons, often to be used against innocent children. The thought of this brings tears to my eyes. I understand that I can't tackle this issue alone, but I refuse to remain silent. This cannot continue in my name.

Since I was a child, I have always heard about the 'Palestine issue.' I am 44 years old and I believe I have never been interested enough given the complexity of the topic... I probably never wanted to accept the concept of power and oppression of a system over human beings. I am fortunate and this has always led me to turn away without taking serious responsibility for how power manifests and imposes itself on human beings lifes... Seeing this in conjunction from macro events to micro, brings me to an unbearable point... adolescent students here in Italy are slaughtered by power. Just because they are saying STOP killing!!! .. dissent unfortunately is about to end... and I feel guilty for having turned my gaze away... My heart is shattered witnessing what is happening in Palestine, but not only: there are many wars ongoing all around the globe; one child in six lives in a war zone and we westerners are the major producers of weapons and bombs that kill human beings... 🥺 As a human being, I find myself questioning what I can do to put an end to this spiral of violence and hatred that is claiming the lives of too many individuals. As an artist, I am contemplating how I can be of assistance. I have created a music track "Cease Fire Now!" to process the pain and frustration I am experiencing in the face of helplessness and indifference.
