🥹 Had the most amazing conversation with my sweet boy at bedtime, which stemmed from him asking if I would still be alive when he is a grandpa. I replied no sadly, and he asked with a little shaky voice, “who will I snuggle then?” And I told him his babies & grandbabies. I patted his chest and told him I would always be in his heart though.. A few quiet seconds passed and he asked, “mom do you know what heaven looks like?” I told him no but said, “do you know what I think? I think it’s full of doggies”.. Then he told me he can’t wait to love on Duke & Tucker. He also said he thinks Jesus looks like a baby in heaven and how he wants me to look like a mom and he will look like a little boy so we can always stay “just like this”, as he laid on my chest and held me so tight. I told him he had the most amazing heart, to which he replied, “no you do” ~ I told him his soul was beautiful and he’s such a good boy. He was sound asleep seconds later, still on my chest, still holding me tight. We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our guy(s)! ♥️🙏🏻 Saturday morning we all grabbed breakfast together at a new local spot, Saturday evening we spontaneously headed to the movies to see Inside Out 2 (sooo good!) & yesterday we spent it enjoying a yummy feast, playing in the pool and a game of cornhole! We spent this weekend in our favorite way: together. So grateful for our favorite guy who makes our world go round.. @djrobburns45 we love you so much! This is what I once prayed for 🙏🏻🥹🩷💙 Oh how grateful I am to be their mama. Being a Mom is not an easy job, but it surely is the most rewarding. It isn’t for the faint of heart. It takes patience, understanding, compassion, more patience, unconditional love, a good sense of humor and a little more patience. 😅 The fact that God chose me to be the one to guide, protect, teach, nurture and love them is by far my greatest blessing. I have ALWAYS wanted to be a mom. It wasn’t even a question for me and I was many things before these two came along: a daughter, a sister, a student, a cheerleader, a dancer, a coach, a teacher, a nanny, a gym owner.. but when I got promoted to MOM, my whole life changed.
