Two weeks ago we gathered at the Santa Monica Pier to watch our friends in @koreatownrunclub embark on “the world’s hardest relay race”called The Speed Project. When @jatecson kindly invited me on board to be a part of the content team I had no idea I’d come out the other end more inspired than ever by each of their stories. Not only knowing their whys to running but physically being there watching @koreatownrunclub and @oldmanrunclub band together(LA x NY❤️) to overcome 340 miles in snow, flooding, desert heat, little sleep, with the potential of eerie encounters like “sheet man” a man wandering aimlessly on the side of the highway in pitch dark with a single sheet and nothing else over their head - it’s true dedication in action.
Honored to have been a part of capturing some of these small moments in between. Excuse the spam in the next coming days as I share some lovely faces and photos of some incredible people🫶

I met @azusa25nigo at Komazawa skatepark in the summer of 2019. I was heading to Tokyo, had no friends, and so I dm’ed her asking if I could come skate with her. She welcomed me with open arms and introduced me to a community that made me feel like I could just be. You know those people who are so 100% themselves you feel that warmth instantly? That was her.
She also was starting @skate_girls_snap a website documenting the women’s skate scene in Japan and I thought wow - I want badass women like her to be SEEN and CELEBRATED.
This story isn’t about being the best or the worst. It’s about joy. It’s about starting something, anything that you truly believe in. It’s about breaking boundaries in your OWN way, the community and people around us that carry us while we’re building, and being 10000%. you.

Not the last post for this project but for today, I’m going to take time to really celebrate this accomplishment and i hope the rest of the team does the same. We fucking did it!
Went back to visit Shonan this past year to catch the sunset and take a trip down memory lane. Girl did not come to play like she really brought the heat🔥
The last 5 months have been a period of growth and hibernation. In between moments of doubt, fear, and uncertainty, it feels easy to lose myself. I skim through photos as a reminder of my own values, the things that spark joy when I intuitively press that little button and think“man I wanna remember this moment forever.” When the brain is being the asshole in my head, film and photos remind me of all the little things that bring me back home.
Recently developed some photos and loving how these turned out🥹 Cheers to more watering of friendships, human connection, and letting the heart drive action. (Clearly I’m back in my soft girl era)
2 years ago we started making a tutorial series called “Guide to” gathering our favorite artists and creatives to share their candid advice on making their dreams a reality. It wasn’t your usual tutorial videos exploring a more personal approach to rigid questions like “How to Monetize Your Business” or “How to Make Passive Income”💸 It felt fun, intimate, and insightful all in one but unfortunately never got released🥲sitting on footage is probably the saddest thing that can happen especially when so much love, heart, and hard work from incredible creators went into it so we’re slowly starting to piece together director’s cuts of the 4 episodes! Here’s a teaser to episode 1 and some BTS because we had a good ass time making these🖤

Was an honor to photograph the celebration of @elaineucho release of Ocean’s Godori a Korean space fantasy novel about a disgraced space pilot struggling to find her place while fighting to protect the people she loves. A sci-fi book full of world building with an Asian American lens is just *chef’s kiss*
