The day after Clive died and I received some of the most horrific news I’ve ever received that next morning - sometimes there’s nothing for it but for your friend to show up as hard as possible and spend the evening making prank calls and mooning Harvey Nichols because sometimes when the bottom falls out of your world the only response after crying till you’re sick is your own bottom @nina_kate I’ll never forget you jumping into the fire with me x
I first saw this beautiful letter that @realsueperkins read out as an excerpt. It could have been to a mother ,father,stepfather,sister, best friend .. any treasured,adored person . It is so very beautiful .
Then I watched the full version, (do yourselves a favour and swipe to see it ),and it was the day after I walked in my front door after two months away shooting -and it didn’t feel like home because Clive wasn’t waiting at the front door in his dungarees, ecstatic to see me and then planning on punishing me for being away for a good two weeks .
Home was him . Home is love . Love is love . Two or four legged . Our capacity for love is our greatest power and what can fell us totally . Thank you Sue for your beautiful words . I thought I could save them all too xx

So it’s a wrap on our movie “Stolen Girl”-our last day was outside in 41° heat and a lot of sweaty hugs were had .
This is the emotionally scouring true story of a woman whose daughter was abducted by her ex husband and the subsequent decade-plus she spent searching for her while rescuing other abducted children .
Not sure I have ever done a movie where I have been required to be in such deep emotional pain every day for six weeks. Our director James Kent is the most loving , talented sweetheart man , and our crew could not have been more supportive . Given the subject matter it was important to give ourselves balance with japes and dancing and my god they delivered , especially Jeff-@gabriellaclairemorpeth who joined me in a pep dance every morning before leaving the trailer for set .
I adored working with all of this crew. My first movie ever “Molto rumore per nulla” was shot in Italy- and yet again you have delivered skill , soul and a special combination of art,creativity, hard,hard work and the love of a good time it is ,I think, impossible to find elsewhere . Hey so this is such a shitty horrible thing to do and it’s not the first time an elderly man has been scammed out of actually a lot of money - hundreds of thousands of dollars . Whoever is doing this is disgusting and evil and yes, confirming any message pretending to me is a scammer and I will never be dming anyone asking for money . Except possibly @craftyape
