Flying back for the first time in 5 years was such a magical and healing experience, especially being able to share this with my bestie @aroundamy 🥰😍☀️ Spending time in nature and with my loved ones, was exactly what I needed 💓 Short but sweet!
As a child, I’ve always loved singing. No matter how hard I tried to bury the idea of singing, it always found a way to pop back up. Last year, I finally decided to listen to my inner child and started taking singing lessons. It’s been one of the best decisions of my life. Singing gives me so much energy, joy and is very healing. I’ve always struggled with the fact that I am a very sensitive and emotional person. Growing up I learned that this is a no-go. Through singing I’m learning to accept and embrace this part of me. Finally these characteristics are my strength. I’m aware that I haven’t reached the finish line with my skills, but damn does it feel good to be one step closer than I was yesterday. Everyday growing, evolving and finding my way back to myself. ❤️🌻🌞😇#journeyofselfacceptance

I managed to loose 16kg at some stage, during this year. It’s not only been an external transformation, but also an internal one. For years, I have been struggling with an eating disorder and trying to escape from reality. Numbing myself with alcohol and food. Not only was I hurting myself in the process, I was hurting the people around me. Which I regret deeply. This year, I decided, enough was enough. It was time to heal my relationship with food and most importantly myself. Alongside a few other changes, I stopped drinking for 8 months. I don’t use it to escape anymore. Wohoo! I am genuinely grateful to be feeling healthier day by day, and lighter internally. Letting go of what does not serve me! But most of all, I am grateful and so very lucky for the people in my life that have been there for me through thick and thin. From Namibia, Germany, Ibiza, Switzerland & Amsterdam. You know who you are,who have been a part of this journey. 😘🥰❤️Looking forward to another year of personal growth, self love and healing.☯️💃
