Last Thursday was a full circle moment for me 🥹. @GirlUp honored me at their USA Summit Visionary Dinner in LA (the same place where I gave @oliviamunn her Girl Up Award 6 years ago!) 16 year old Kavi would be so proud of how far we have come. You don’t even have to know me well to know the impact Girl Up has had on me.
My community at Girl Up has poured into me in so many ways, and not just to celebrate my wins. They have cried with me, strategized with me, laughed with me, and uplifted me when I needed it the most. (And they know who they are.)
It’s testament to what happens when you give girls the opportunity to build community early on and give them a safe space to show up as who they are. 💝💝💝

Yesterday I helped co-host and plan the inaugural “Know Your Risk” Afternoon Tea, a global event series raising awareness about the importance of genetic testing/risk assessments for women, beyond just BRCA1 testing. In partnership with @wehumanisehealth and @krystalbarter , planning this event has been one of the most rewarding experiences. @Krystalbarter thank you for trusting me with your vision & letting me help execute the first one!!
My paternal grandmother passed away from breast cancer in her 40s, my 2 aunts passed away from breast and ovarian cancer respectively, and my maternal grandmother is a breast cancer survivor. So as a cancer survivor myself, being able to do this advocacy work is an accomplishment I don’t take lightly and an honor to represent my loved ones.
The reality is EVERY woman should be considering genetic testing/risk assessments for their preventative health. We shouldn’t wait until we are impacted personally to take action. (post + substack on this more soon! 👀)

In honor of Women’s Health Month and Mother’s Day, who better to discuss gut feelings with than my mother, PharmD of 25+ years and founder of @sunraishealth , with a killer sixth sense.
My mom and I have been wanting to do this for a while. We both have been on respective journeys towards understanding what it means to take an intuitive approach to our health- an approach that is conscious of our self talk and the daily micro-decisions we make that indirectly tell our bodies what we actually value.
We wanted to bridge this gap in conversation for women across all ages as we share thoughts on what we wish we knew about each other during our hardest moments, how we can show up for ourselves, and trust our decisions.
