🍉 Around this time last year we visited one of my favorite places on this earth and took these photos.
I wanted to capture this time, this sacred moment of being two beating hearts in one body, the alignment of becoming Mama, the bridge between worlds— being so beautifully pregnant.
I felt so at peace. I felt serene being home with my baby safe in my womb, my love holding my hand, Baloo running in the mud, and so alive with the damp smell of nature teeming with life and filling me with wonder of the possibilities that lay ahead.
A lot has changed since this moment. The world looks so different. I’m struggling to see the hope but I know that hope and faith is to be had. Posting this memory today, I can only think about what’s happening in the world… what’s BEEN happening in the world, the veils and illusions are being ripped from our eyes.
I wish and pray for a world where pregnant people can be as at peace as this woman in these photos. That families around the world can feel safe and at home. That our children, all of them, can enjoy the beauty that this world has to offer. 🍉

When you have a kid, adventures mean so much more. We crossed the Williamsburg bridge as a family as a part of our 30 days of movement challenge inspired by aunt Kate 🍉 New York feels different these days, finally feeling a sense of home in this big big city ❤️ #FreeGaza
