Throwback to June 25 when we had a special gathering for the US Meat Party event! We had a blast cooking live performance by Chef @nd_hartono  with his U.S Tenderloin with Poach Egg Bearnaise recipe. Andy showed the crowd how simple it is to grill steak if it comes from a good quality meat like the U.S Meat. The corn fed U.S Meat has a special characteristic of flavour, you can taste a hint of sweetness from the corn and of course it's juicer and more tender. Besides the cooking show, we served a range of American favorite dishes, specially made by Dapur Mini Kem Chicks. Roasted Turkey, Turkey Sandwich, Mini Burger and Hot Dog with U.S Meat, and the super delicious Carrot Cake and American Brownie from Lees Bakery. We also had a Surprise Sous Chef, Mr. Rey Santella from USDA who assisted Chef Andy prepare the U.S Sirloin Matah Dressing, this special dish was created to symbolize the unity of east and west culture. She was a full-time corporate lawyer before starting Pipiltin Cocoa, she even took the Law and Economics Master’s Program at the Utrecht University, where over the holidays she travelled to Zurich and surprised to find Bali and East Java single origin chocolate produced by an American and European chocolate manufacturer.   Long story short, by that time Indonesia is the third largest cocoa bean producer in the world, yet the domestic market is flooded with imported chocolate, so she started Pipiltin Cocoa, with her brother, Irvan Helmi, to introduce single origin premium chocolates of Indonesia. They committed to source cocoa ethically from smallholder farmers in Indonesia’s Bali, Aceh, Flores, East Java, and West Papua. Direct sourcing allows Pipiltin Cocoa to support the sustainability of cocoa farming by working with farmers to promote sustainable practices. In preparation to founding the company, Tissa took a Master Chocolatier Program in Schwyz, Switzerland.
