Welcome to the main event 💪🏻 I honestly can’t remember the last time I tried to do pull ups. Maybe 10 years? I have been working on building my upper body over the last several months and was ready to try. I was surprised at how I was able to do pull ups. I am proof that age is just a number that society places on us about how we should be. I promise you that I will never act my age. Lol 🤣 I also proved that the only things you are guaranteed to fail at are things you never try. Zero effort always equals Zero progress in everything we do in life. Thank you for all the Birthday love yesterday 🎉🎂🥳🎂🎉🥳🎉🎂🎂🎉🎂🥳🎂🎉🎂 I officially turned 51 years old yesterday. This was a hard birthday for me not because I am one year older and I stress about aging, it is because this was the first birthday my mom was not here with me to celebrate. The beautiful woman who brought me into this world can’t celebrate my special day. I have so many wonderful memories of my mom being the life of my birthday party and making them so special for me ❤️ Birthdays are a big deal. They symbolize that we are blessed to have another minute, day, year of this thing called life. I am glad to be able to be here to celebrate another year of life with my awesome husband, my two beautiful boys and my family and friends. I wish my mother was able to be here as well with me. I know she is watching over me! Being a cancer survivor for 28 years and having had to go through chemotherapy has always made me appreciate the gift of life. We all don’t get that opportunity to be here. None of us are getting any younger that is for sure but I am grateful to still be here. We all have all lost a lot of friends and family over these past few years. In my 51 years of life I have had lessons and blessings. I have learned that not everything goes as planned in life but the detours are the things that help you get to where you need to be. The detours build character, they make you stronger and they ultimately allow you to be the person you were meant to be. Have faith and trust the process. As we get older the most important things are my family and friends and making the most of each day. Don’t get stressed over things you can’t change and learn to live in the moment and appreciate the little things in life.
