What a mix of fun, anxiety, and gratitude, cheering on the men today alongside gymnasts of all ages in my gym-home! We reminisced. We watched youngsters play and dream-build. We celebrated our Texas Dreams Olympians. We enjoyed being fans of these wildly successful athletes competing.
So many emotions… hoping that all Olympic Trials competitors experience the unmatched fulfillment that comes from dedicating oneself to the pursuit of becoming an Olympian. Not all make it yet all MADE IT! To become the best version of ourself no matter the cards drawn earns THE prize! Every Trials competitor will have contributed to the ultimate success of the 5 who will tumble on the Paris podium. As the Olympic motto states, “FASTER, HIGHER, STRONGER… TOGETHER”, each has pushed, encouraged and inspired that little bit more, for and with each other!
And I agree with @frederickflips in his forecast of medals to be earned by Team USA! In the words of @asher_hong04 ,”LET’S GO!”

Started the day at 5am to alerts warning Dallas of severe weather. Ugh… too early to be awoken. … but yay, I got to video-chat throughout the storm with Keith!
The 80+ mile/hour winds did a number on many trees. But thankfully, we were safe and our home was unscratched. Plus, I got the opportunity to see my most amazing, helping-hand parents who sawed & cleaned up limbs with smiles on their faces!
Electricity went out causing us to close the gym today. But guess what starts today… Xfinity U.S. Championships, so we decided to boogie west to Ft.Worth where Caroline got her first look at this week’s competition set-up. Plus, the unplanned need to attend the practice gave me a chance to Uber Betty & friends there.
And good news… my “let there be light” wish came true when I stopped by Texas Dreams on my way home.
Now, shoes kicked off, cheese pizza en route & the voices of my ever-growing kiddos in earshot 💕

To say that Emma is absolutely deserving as an athlete of integrity, an ambassador of kindness, a steward of tenacity, and a true dreamer eager for the journey can not be overstated!
Emma, you will always be a hero and inspiration to that little girl who wore the waves and is willing to ride the waves to achieve her big dreams and to this “old” coach who is abundantly blessed to cheer you on!
