I have a confession to make. Salmon is one of my favorite fish to eat, but I rarely cook it at home. It’s easy to overcook it and get too much albumin, and then it’s ugly (eyes eat first, then camera, then me). Lucky for me, there is always a delicious salmon lunch bowl not too far away. This first one is from @indayallday which my work friend introduced me to, and the second is from @pigandkhao which you already knew I loved. Both were perfect and so much prettier than when I make salmon at home.

Sushi is my favorite food. I eat it when I want something that feels healthy but also satisfying, for comfort after a bad day, and in the case of this weekend, to reward myself after doing something hard like running a 10k in Central Park on a summer morning and beating my previous 10k time by 6 min and 40 seconds!
After the race, I met up with my coach from last year, @cjamile_ramirez and some of my @adidasrunners friends from the beginner training program. Then later, I had the best Epsom salt bath and some fresh sashimi!
Imagine what I’ll treat myself to after a half marathon 👀

Dinner upstairs at the Espresso Martini Bar @sirhenrysnyc was so good! I loved every appetizer I had: the crispy calamari & shrimp, the salmon crispy rice, and especially the fried goat cheese balls.
I was impressed with the variety of espresso martinis! I sipped the “Buttered Up” with a peanut butter chocolate liquor, and my friend enjoyed the “nuts and berries” with raspberry, hazelnut, and coffee liquor. Or, if you prefer cocktails and you’re feeling thirsty, you can go bottomless for $30! Enjoy 90 minutes of bottomless select drinks (including the “this ain’t Texas” rum punch served in a cowgirl disco ball) with the purchase of tacos or a large plate. The tacos were excellent and the large plate options are plentiful!
There are 6 espresso martini’s I still need to try, so I’ll be back soon. Thanks for having me @sirhenrysnyc !

You already know I love @piggybacknewyork for lunch and dinner, and I just found out I love it even more for #brunch ! My favorites like the smoked duck mami and mushroom dan dan are on the menu (added a poached egg to the dan dan to make it more brunchy) and they’ve also got amazing brunch entrees like this tocino bowl and the brunch hero, the French toast. The French toast had peanut butter, condensed milk, and candied bananas, and single handedly converted me to sweet brunches. I’ve never had French toast like this before and I never want it any other way. @leahscohen is a genius.
You can also go bottomless with your mimosa for only $22. Unheard of in Manhattan. Next time someone asks me where I want to go for brunch, @piggybacknewyork is the answer.
Thanks so much for having me!

Are you brunching tomorrow? I know I am. Just not this particular chicken and waffle because this location in Astoria is permanently closed 🥲
BUT. There is duck on the menu where I’m brunching and I’m ridiculously excited for it.
Is your brunch reservation secured?
