The reason I started taking photographs is because like many others, I’m a skateboarder. In my particular case, being a 15 years old kid in the early 2000’s you don’t have a camera and the only way possible to document skateboarding with your friends is with your 5 megapixels phone.
But when it comes to my photo career its funny to realize that I’ve never taken a “skate picture”.
For the past few months and together with my friends and @polaroid Ive been documenting my experience on the board in Barcelona, as part of the “L’Habitat” project.”
This Thursday the 20th I’d love to invite you to be part of it at @galeriebete in Paris.
For Summer 24 we worked with Barcelona based artist and photographer, Cristian Bravo @la_melancolia . Cris is known for his mundane and creative vision of the world where everyday life and abstraction coexist in the same picture. Coming from a skateboarding background brings the spontaneity of the streets translated into an uncommon framing style that lives in both fashion and fine art world. Cris has been documenting life on earth for over a decade between Europe and the United States where his work has been exhibited and published worldwide.
