To continue our celebration of @la_takedown ‘s 2023 album “They Move And They Shine” we’re hosting the very special “L.A. Takedown Northeast L.A. Record Release Tour!” Which is really just two shows in one day on either side of Mt. Washington. We’re excited to present LATD alongside @scottgilmore__ for a matinee show at @scribble.community in Highland Park, then followed up with an evening show at the @permanentrecordsroadhouse alongside @riiincs and General Baby! Also ICYMI we released a live version of the titular track “They Move And They Shine” recorded at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco last year that is available wherever you stream your music! Check out the links in our bio to grab tickets, preorder the record on vinyl, and listen to the new live single :)

Hi everyone! We’re so excited to announce a special release from our friends @la_takedown ! In honor of the one year anniversary, we’re releasing 2023’s full-length “They Move And They Shine” on vinyl for the very first time Friday, April 19th! “They Move And They Shine” is the fourth album from LATD, and came about almost by accident. If not for some Covid induced downtime, LATD leader Aaron Olson may not have revisited the demo for this album’s centerpiece “Santa Paula Station” which ultimately became the spark that started this record in earnest. Like a lost soundtrack to an early Michael Mann film, fans of moody synthesizers and wailing guitars will find plenty to love here! You can check out a live version of the title track recorded at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco last year wherever you stream your music, and preorder “They Move And They Shine” on vinyl at the ABR website! Don't forget that our new album, THEY MOVE AND THEY SHINE, is digi-only (lest someone wants to do a vinyl run, hmu), and it's Bandcamp Friday - a great day to directly support the project with your dollars! Swipe through for other albums by LATd and Aaron MF Olson that are out there for your ears. There are still physical copies available of some of these other titles btw ✌️ + ❤️

Oops! It seems we just released our new album... They Move And They Shine ...slipped out like a turd in the night – undetected at first, but unforgettable once discovered. Contrary to inferences above, there is no physical release; this album exists only in the digital realm. Bandcamp and streaming (And it's bandcamp Friday, don't ya know) We're just hoping this album reaches the ears of the heads that wanna hear it, so spread the word if you please. And thanks!

Done tracking album Same day Takahashi passed Grateful for music Stoked to be getting our new album all together and zipped up, but quite sad about the loss of Yukihiro Takahashi, and forever grateful and in disbelief that we could share a song with him 🙌 Thanks always to Yosuke Kitazawa @temporal_drift for making that connection for us.
