Its one of three 'Must Have' mugs for me, that will never leave my possession. Reason is... there is a strong affinity to not only the subject matter, but the Artist who created this beauty! 🤗 I've been a fan of his work ever since Kristina and I have been collecting mugs back in late'18, early '19. 🙏🏽🤗 May I present to you.. 'The Tanga Coca Roa' by Patrick Vassar @the_green_tiki teaming up with partner Ashley Benjamin comprising their Ceramic Enterprise, Monkey Skull @monkeyskull6 .... The Coconut Crab perched on the backside of the Tiki''s Head is a theme that harkens to my own Island roots where we call the creature Ayuyu...Absolutely dig this one! 👍🏽🦀😎 Patrick & Ashley are still in active production of these mugs (I got one of the first ten) and are hinting at more! If ya can, ya gotta grab one! Today, we explore the far reaches of space (or at least our mind space)🤔😉 with "The Rocket Mug, Bumatay Away", produced and made specifically for Hidden Harbor @hiddenharborpgh of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! This piece, depicting tiki inspired facial fearures upon a Rocket Ship & manufactured to Commemorate the 8th Anniversary of Hidden Harbor's opening was commissioned to Artist /Ceramicist Mikel Parton @m_p_o_r_i_u_m_ of Santa Cruz, California. Glazed in two color variations of 'Sky High Blue' (pictured) or 'Galactic Green' with production runs of 50 per color, liquid capacity at 16 oz. and standing approximately 10" in height.....We couldn't pass on grabbing one of these! Mikel did a very cool rendition of this concept and we totally love it! Kristina has always been fascinated with anything space or space travel related. She's the 'Rocket Scientist'...
