What makes a great routine ?
For me , it’s the ability to have the crowd engaged into the performance, show them the emotion, show them the energy!
Wether your routine is a tribute to a loved one or just a song that really means something to you , having this connection is going to really show through the raw passion & emotions
This song hit me in the feels as the lyrics relate to when my mental health was at its peak!
So here are my tips to a well structured routine..
♦️Song choice (really connect with the song )
♦️chose the right tempo (in this routine it was a nice slow tempo )
♦️try to change direction throughout the routine
♦️change your levels throughout the routine (floor poses & standing poses )
♦️time your poses with the music (this makes the routine look 10x better!)
♦️show your strongest poses in the routine
♦️know your own abilities (design the routine to fit your posing ability, if this means making it abit more basic to be able to absolutely nail it then do so ! Don’t bite of more than you can flow )
♦️most of all , enjoy yourself!
But remember people , a routine is just the icing on the cake to a great physique!
So make sure you have your basic fundamentals flawless first ! Quarter turns , mandatorys..
