[Long caption] It’s been 85 days since I started posting on here and the creative action of thinking about something I want to explore and getting it done has already brought me so much joy. I’m glad I started off with my own personal set of goals (shared below) because they have continued to hold me accountable to myself. It’s really easy to start comparing yourself to others and knowing YOUR OWN PERSONAL WHY is critical to making sure that you can enjoy the journey. Also, every time I read through this list it strikes me how often failure comes up. It’s crazy how scary it can be to start something new, but without that first leap of faith, your goals have no chance Is there something you’ve wanting to start, but have been too scared try? *My why* I am getting comfortable with failure I am learning about something I’m interested in right now I’m getting comfortable with having no signs of current success, or indications of future success, but still pushing through I am sharing my creativity because it brings me joy I am building an open diary for the growth of my creativity I am stepping out of my comfort zone I am creating I am exploring I am overcoming something I find terrifying - putting myself out there I am cultivating, spreading and sharing beauty I am learning to be vulnerable I am not interested in painting a perfect picture because my life is far from perfect Instead, I am interested in showing my process of pushing through the gunk of life and choosing joy I am embracing failure I am giving my gifts and interests a chance I am learning new skills I am doing something for myself without seeking approval #personalgrowth #vulnerability #creative

[Recipe below] Baking is really my therapy ❤️ Pound cakes are a classic favorite, but if you ask me, a cream cheese pound cake is even better. I added fresh vanilla beans to this one to elevate the flavor, and the warm peach bourbon compote was the perfect pairing. You can always skip the bourbon if you want it alcohol-free. Do we have any other cake addicts in the house? *Ingredients* 4 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla beans ½ cup butter ½ cup cream cheese ¾ cup sugar 1 ¾ cups flour 1 ¼ tsp baking powder 2 peaches 2 tsps butter 1 tsp bourbon Mint for garnish 1. Beat eggs and vanilla with fork until combined 2. Whisk butter and cream cheese till fluffy 3. Add sugar and mix on medium until sugar dissolves and mixture is smooth and fluffy (~6 mins) 4. Add eggs slowly and continue mixing, about 40 secs internal between pours 5. Fold in flour and pour into cake pan 6. Bake at 350 for 30 mins Compote 7. Cut up peaches and slow cook with butter until golden brown 8. Add bourbon and cook until darker 9. Pour warm over slice of cake, and top with mint 10. Enjoy!

Loves, how are we feeling about jorts this summer?? I found this amazing ombré pair of jorts at @hm and it took all my doubts away. I’ve styled it two ways with a gorgeous bell-sleeved off shoulder top from @hm and my favorite backless crop top from @hanifaofficial . Are we in? Outfit links in stories #summerstyle #jorts #shorts

If you think the flavor of whiskey is too intense, this caramelized pineapple whiskey cocktail might change your mind. The burnt brown sugar pairs really well with whiskey and brings a nice sweetness to the drink. If you want something sweeter, you can switch out the sparkling water for a sweet sparkling drink - ginger beer would be my choice here. Enjoy! #cocktails #whiskeycocktail #pineapplecocktail

[Recipe below] I don’t have the words to describe how good this peach, burrata ans prosciutto cheeseboard was! I almost finished it all by myself. Nothing beats fresh simple ingredients topped with a drizzle of honey, high quality olive oil and salt. I soaked the cherries in water before and they came out extra extra plump and juicy. Honestly, I was in heaven with each bite! This will be perfect for a night in with friends or a cute little at home date night. If you try it, let me know what you think! ALSO, I just got this two piece set from the @jeneenaylor and @target collection and I LOVE! 100% my vibe - stylish and comfortable. *Ingredients* Cherries (Soaked in water beforehand) Peaches Burrata Prosciutto Olives Really good olive oil Salt (@maldonsalt is perfect for this) Honey Assemble all the ingredients on a serving platter and top with a sprinkle of salt and drizzle of olive oil and honey #burrata #peaches #cherries #summervibes

Funny story about this linen suit - I bought it as a birthday gift for my husband but looks like it’s ours now! I love a double-breasted suit and this white linen one is the perfect combination of tailored and effortless summer. I love repeating and re-styling outfits so I had to bring my favorite beach cover up into the mix as well. Which look is doing it for you? 🤍 Suit - @suitsupply men’s Red corset - @zara Blue beach cover up - @mondayswimwear Sandals - @tomford #stylingtips #fitcheck

[Recipe below] I haven’t baked in a minute so I was excited to make a sticky toffee pudding again! This hands down one of my favorite desserts, especially when served warm and fresh. I love it not only because it tastes like heaven, but also because it’s actually really easy to make. What do you think, are we going to try it? *Ingredients* Pudding 1 cup dates 1 cup hot water ¾ cup + 2tsp all purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda ¼ tsp salt ⅓ cup dark brown sugar ⅓ cup demerera sugar 3 tsp cold butter 2 eggs Sauce 1 cup heavy whipping cream 5 tsps butter 3 tsps dark brown sugar ¼ tsp salt 1. Chop up dates and soak in hot water for at least 5 mins 2. Pulse all pudding ingredients except dates in blender till just combined 3. Add dates and ½ cup of remaining water. Pulse until just combined 4. Bake at 350F for 30 mins 5. For sauce, melt butter in pan 6. Add cream and brown sugar and whisk until sauce thickens and starts to bubble 7. Pour over pudding and broil in oven till slightly charred for ~5 mins 8. Enjoy!

I love little road trips with my clan. This little house on the cliff brought me so much calm and endless inspiration. We all enjoyed being able to unwind and tune into our thoughts. As much as I love living in Brooklyn, these are the moments that really energize me. Your cue to plan a little road trip with the fam? #roadtrip #catskills #weekendgetaway #familytrip #vacationstyle

Not me leaving my bag behind 🤣 How did I do with my first fitcheck? I’ve absolutely loved being in the Catskills for the weekend! Maybe it’s time to trade in life in Brooklyn for some peace and quiet? Didn’t even get to the shoes 😩 I’ll be back with the full look from this white linen suit set (that I stole from the boy) but until then, this is what I’ve got! 🤣 Also, how do we feel about my new haircut?
