It is with great honor and much joy that we welcome our friends @azymuthoficial back to the #jazzisdead stage for a 13 city US tour! The Brazilian trio laid the bedrock for the sound and style of 1970s Brazilian jazz with their ingenious synthesis of jazz, funk, rock and samba. Since the passing of keyboard maestro Jose Roberto Bertrami in 2012 and our dear friend drummer @ivancontimamao in early 2023, remaining original member @alexmalheiros continues to push the boundaries of their beloved samba. Azymuth lives on with new recruits, synthesizer samurai @kikocontinentino (Milton Nascimento, Gilberto Gil, Djavan) and renowned drummer @renatomassacalmon (Marcos Valle, Ed Motta). This Sunday, June 9th - We’ll doing a special fundraiser show to help our good friend @mrrobbyboy cover medial expenses after his bout with cancer. We’re glad to have seen Rob back in action & have him and his band @thestevensonranchdavidians join for a few dates on the East coast last month. But now it’s time for a hometown show to bring everyone together to show love and support to a genuine person like Rob. He’s been there supporting and believing in us for many years so we’re glad to do this one to show him we care & we love him. Come one out to this special show - do it for Rob.
