Hi everyone! I am so excited to announce I will be competing at Princess of America in Branson, MO as your Preteen Miss Prairie State!!!
There have been many moments that have led me to this point in my pageant journey but the dearest one is “my why”. My crown will ALWAYS have a cause. At 4 years old, I lost my Dad to glioblastoma. Fast forward through 7 years of dealing with childhood grief and my family and I quickly realized there aren’t many organizations who support children who have lost a parent. I spent many long days in the hospital so I could be with my dad…I know all too well how hard and sad it is. But, these little flickers of hope would pop up from the kindest people. Our family and friends would donate little activity baskets to help my sisters and I make it through our toughest days. They helped immensely so they have now become my Baskets of Light.
I founded @lighttheway_withlayton because I saw a ginormous need! I thought, what if I made baskets filled with crafts, books, journals, markers, card games and OF COURSE my favorite, Squishables!? I hand deliver my Baskets of Light to families, organizations and cancer treatment facilities. Meeting new people is my jam and I’ve been able to Light the Way for nearly 100 children! ☀️
I am honored to be a part of Princess of America and all the wonderful #bransonbound girls! Thank you for your warm welcome and I am looking forward to meeting you all in just a few weeks!!!
🩷 & ☀️, Layton

I see my dad in the stars, I send his balloons to heaven and he’s the sun in every basket. I remember him when I’m in Disney riding the tea cups and I love the happy memories of riding his shoulders into football games.
I miss my Dad every day but Father’s Day is a little different…it has it’s sad moments but with time, it’s been filled with happy moments again.
Happy Father’s Day to my Dad in heaven 🩷☀️…
and Happy Father’s Day to my Daddy on earth. You have always made sure I have felt the love of having a Daddy….I love being your little girl and I love you so much. ❤️
