Desert mood 🐪🏜️ 1,2,3 beautiful Jaisalmer 4 desert cow 5 chai cooking in the last “village” before the desert 6 if you haven’t been 3 people on a motorbike, have you really been to India? 7 ding, dang, dong - the smartest kid beggar singing French classics 8, 9 overlooking Jaisalmer 10 finding the campement and our dinner back after getting lost in the desert because we were mesmerized by the sunset and it got dark

Almost one month, that I’m back from India & finally landing 🇮🇳 What a rich country, full of colors, people, artisans and cultures. Here is a little photo dump of my time in the sacred Himalayan mountains where the pine tree forest is filled with monkeys & other exotic birds - how strange 🏔️🦅🦜 1 - arriving to the beautiful Nashala village to meet @thecolorcaravan 2 - meeting with the women in Nagar to start their first weaving project. The language barrier was a real challenge but playing dress up and dancing is a universal language. I’m here wearing the traditional Patu shawl that women wear everyday in that region. Thank you @mamtathakur175 for being my referee and for the new friendships ❤️ 3 - old manali village vibes & cricket 🏏 4 - me’n ma Indian boyzzzs om the way to the hot springs 5 - baby sheep and wool directly from the source 🐑🤍 6 - a magical forest 7 - the region with the most friendly free dogs, they literally request you to pet them and knock at cafes door for it 8 - playing hide and seek with a cow 9 - motorcycling through the mountains with my dear friend Phillip 10 - temple mood 🛕

Woo finally getting to post about my main project @thepalace.collective What a process of resilience, collaboration and exploration - accepting that it won’t be perfect, letting go of some initial ideas and trusting and surrendering to the learnings while finding a balance with the million other activities on the program that I am interested in 5 days before the showcase @jord_tdmn and I connected and he told me about his idea of a performance for his art exhibition. Mind you, I have not seen his work until the showcase and creating someone’s idea on short notice with very limited supplies (even the sewing machine died on me) - restricting the design possibilities - was definitely a challenge. Though, it’s the beautiful co-creation, support and collaboration from the community that made it happen - from the hands who’ve cut some fabric for me, to those helping with the quilting or to chris sharing his knowledge of working with silicon, I realized how much can be created with the right collective Ironically, my experience during the creation is fitting to the original concept of GROWING STRANGE. It relates to the idea of not having a normal perfect life with regards to the normative views of society around carrying one’s self. Through individuality, through expressing your authenticity and being slightly abnormal comes challenges. The cacti captures this idea with its essence of having its own way of existing and surviving. Its aesthetic is guarded with spikes but it is also a resilient being that is basically able to survive to almost anything by just being himself 🌵🏜️

Waaw what an experience 🫀🧚‍♂️ 150 artists co-creating over the course of 15 days for a show-case. So much inspiration, new friends, learnings, exploration and intensity 🔥 Thank you for the talented @joemarch_photography for capturing some of my favorite moments A crazy amount of performances, cob building, puppet making, paint movement exploration, crocheting, celebration, music, dancing, 9 puppies to learning to making clay from the ground there, pottery and so much more… I’m still landing but my heart is full from this incredibly moving experience Till next time @thepalace.collective Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your hard work and vision, it was pure magic ✨
