However, there’s one more factor that comes into play while choosing the right lipstick for yourself and that is-

Here are a few suggestions to help you select the right lip colour next time-
⭐️Do your research- Try finding influencers/ makeup artists who use the same base products as you. Reach this point by searching up the shade names of the exact foundation and concealer you use (on YouTube and Instagram) and you’ll be able to find people reviewing them/ using them thereby helping you find people with the same/ similar skin colour and undertone.
⭐️Sit through multiple swatch videos- Once you find people online with the same/similar tones try and see the lipsticks they are using. If the colour of their lips is similar to yours, you don’t need to look further (unless for a specific product) and you’ll probably be able to find shade suggestions directly there.
⭐️Be precise- Incase neither of the above options work, search the name of the exact lipstick you wish to buy on YouTube and Instagram and locate individuals whose skin and/or lip colour is similar to yours to give better clarity. Try and see as many swatches as you can to gauge a better idea.
⭐️Make the effort and go for an in-store shopping experience- Always try a lipstick directly on the lips (obviously with a cotton swab) even if you’ve seen it on other people and are convinced enough. Remember to ask the salesperson to sanitise the product in front of you so as to avoid cross contamination.
