I don’t know who needs to hear this, besides me. It feels untenable sometimes, and that’s because it is. But it’s not your actions for liberation that are untenable, it’s these actions of genocide, of oppression, of subjugation. We will keep going, keep fighting for liberation together. We will hold each other up. We are the only ones who will save us. So do what you need to do to rest, recuperate, to rejoin and keep going. I feel hopeless on a daily basis. But I feel inspired by so so many of you so much more than the hopelessness. Remember what we’re fighting for, it is bigger than all of us. I love every single one of you who are in this.

Is there anyone who, in their hearts, doesn’t believe this?

This week has been overwhelming. And the week before. And the one before that and before that. I’m trying to make sense of this pain. Because we are drowning and we need to keep our heads above water to turn this world into one that our kids deserve.

Forced displacement is already horrific. Forced displacement while being bombed, forcibly starved, injured, sick with disease is impossible to comprehend for most of us in this world.

My wish is that I live my life with even a fraction of the integrity that so many Palestinians carry in their fight for freedom

This is from December, at a vigil organized by @freepalestinehalifax I never imagined that halfway through June we’d be here, Gaza in even more ruins, with so many people still turning their backs on the massacres, the destruction and continuing with their lives as if there isn’t a genocide backed by their elected officials. I don’t know why I felt compelled to post this now. But I remember crying that night holding a candle. and that night, like so many nights for the last 9 months, are so vivid, even if sometimes I feel like they all blur together
