I’d like to share my story…
This week 3 years ago, I went down a rabbit hole and watched a youtube tutorial that led me down very different path & into jewellery making. I bought all the materials that the video recommended and thought it would be a great distraction to learn something new during the on off lockdowns in 2021 as a hobby to occupy my mind from everything going on in the world at the time.
Initially making all the pieces in my rented bedroom, a couple of weeks later I had to move to a bigger space turning my garden shed into a workspace.
Soon enough, this little hobby became my full time job and we moved to Lisbon Portugal where I went to a beautiful jewellery school to do a couple of months in metalsmithing, and fell in love with the process and possibilities that working with sterling silver offered!
Fast forward to now, I’ve made THOUSANDS of pieces for customer orders on the website, met so many customers at markets and custom designed jewellery for people’s wedding days (what an honour!😍), my jewellery has been stocked in almost 30 retail stores in Ireland, Portugal and The US. I was able to hire help to run the craft markets and began working on a brand new collection of fine jewellery.
Through all the struggles and frustrations along the way, moments last year of wanting to throw the towel in..I’ve worked harder and longer hours than ever, but following my passion and building this business from nothing has been the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done!
