I am posting this again because I have now a copy in my hands and I am very grateful to @luncheonmagazine for commissioning this piece and to Rosalind Nashashibi for the beautiful painting and this stunning image of precious life in Gaza. And more importantly because somehow the techologised annihilation, torture, wounding of a besieged people has been normalised, this level of such profound, world shattering suffering has become ambient, the backdrop of our lives.

INSPIRATION pages in the new issue of Luncheon no.17 are created by Kazna Asker. The Yemeni British designer selects her inspirations that inform her work, often drawn from her community in her hometown of Sheffield. The opening and closing photographs are by @simonwheatleyphoto (with special thanks to @m_j_whitehouse ) There are screenshots from the film by Kazna ‘Fight for me Sheffield’ 2023 and photographs from Kazna’s London fashion presentation ‘What are we fighting For?’ with pictures by Dani d’Ingeo @remainsofd All photographs of family, friends, personal objects, quotes and the video clip at the end here are courtesy of Kazna @kazna.asker ♥️
