The status quo still sees our most fundamental health needs - that is, the menstrual cycle - often overlooked in the development of inclusive workspaces. So this announcement 👆marks an exciting turning point in the integration of menstrual and women’s health issues in conversation around the #TheFutureOfWork . @theexecutivecentre , APAC’s leading flexible workplace provider, is now providing complimentary LUÜNA menstrual care for members and staff 👏 Every partnership of this kind takes us one step closer to normalising environments that consider the unique needs and experiences of women and menstruating people. We couldn’t be happier to see this partnership come to life. More updates coming soon!

We love our ☕️ but embarrassing leaks, DIY toilet paper pads and inconvenient rushing to the store between meetings doesn’t scream ‘equitable modern workplace.’ Whether it’s the gym, your office or your favourite cafe, tag a venue where you’d love to see period products made available. We might just be able to make it happen!

“Tackling deep-rooted social issues like menstrual and gender inequity is undeniably tough, and yet it is also so often full of joy. ‘Joyful’ is the best way I can describe our recent menstrual care distribution and workshop, for which we collaborated with charity partner Exchange and Empower and members of the migrant domestic worker community in Hong Kong. Yes we addressed shame, stigma, physical pain and mental health challenges, exploring how these negatively impact our lives. But we also laughed, shared openly and supported one another in the unique way a room full of women can when safe spaces are created for us to do so. This particular project was made possible through all the corporations who launched our LUÜNA For Work menstrual care programs over International Women’s Day this year. This is the kind of ripple effect that LUÜNA, with our social enterprise model, exists to foster and the meaning behind our core mission #PeriodEquityForAll” - our founder, @olivia.cotes.james via LinkedIn We’ll be sharing more about this project and the corporate partners who supported it in this month’s newsletter. We are inspired by the initiative taken by one student-led group to complement the LUÜNA period care dispensers at Chinese International School, Hong Kong 👇 The @g1rltalkofficial team at CIS took a powerful step by creating and displaying a poster that highlights the crucial issue of period poverty. Their poster brings attention to the fact that over 500 million menstruating individuals worldwide struggle to access menstrual products on a regular basis. This is vital in promoting menstrual equity and ensuring that no one is held back by the lack of access to essential period care. In fact, the Girl Talk team took this one step further and have led multiple fundraisers to actively provide LUÜNA period care to underserved local communities in Hong Kong 👏 We applaud the Girl Talk team for their dedication and impactful contribution. Together, we can work towards a world where menstrual products are accessible to all.

🩸 🏃‍♀️ We are in awe of Natalie Dau aka @rockstararms . Read why 👇 Natalie recently completed a solo run of 1,000km in just 12 days, staring in Thailand, through Malaysia, before finishing in Singapore. A truly awe-inspiring feat in every sense. We were the proud period care sponsor for Natalie’s journey, providing LUÜNA pads that were distributed to young girls at schools along the race route which you can see in action in these images. Sharing a huge congratulations to Natalie and her Project 1000 team. We love to see the menstrual equity woven into projects like this incredible race!

🌍 World Refugee Day: Supporting Menstrual Equity for All 🌍 “There is no money left to afford period products, so people must rely on donations. This means they cannot choose which products they use based on their personal needs,” shared a refugee through our partnership with the @refugeeunion . Another noted, “Sometimes we receive decent products, but other times, the products given don't feel right and cause discomfort and irritation.” These voices highlight a critical issue: menstrual equity is not a luxury, but a basic human right. In Hong Kong, refugees receive only HK$3,200 stipend per month to cover rent, food, utilities, and transportation. This outdated amount makes it nearly impossible to afford essential items like menstrual products, leaving many women struggling to manage their periods effectively. Through our partnership with the Refugee Union, we’re providing free period care products to refugee women, helping them navigate these challenges with greater ease. 💙 A Heartfelt Thanks to Our Community💙 We're incredibly grateful for the support from our community. Your contributions ensure that refugee women have access to safe and sustainable period care products they need. Together, we can continue to make a meaningful impact on these women's lives, ensuring they have the resources to manage their periods with dignity and comfort. Here are some photos from distribution and community events we've hosted over the last 12 months. For more information on how you can help, visit the Refugee Union’s website or consider making a donation to support their essential work. #WorldRefugeeDay #MenstrualEquity #SupportRefugees #LUUNA

Basic menstrual health means proper access to period products and education. Without it, people with periods face the burden of period poverty. We at LUÜNA unite APAC organizations to fight period poverty and create a more equitable world for all. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again 👇 ‘Organic’ is not a buzzword, especially when it comes to our period care. In fact, our founder, Olivia, solved the recurring yeast infections that had bugged her for YEARS by making the switch. And since we started our community, followed then by the launch of our brand a few years later, we’ve seen this story countless times. Well, enough is enough. Don’t you agree? At LUÜNA, we’re not just about creating access to menstrual care; it’s about access to menstrual care that is better for our bodies and our planet. (And what could be better for our bodies than no more yeast infections?!) So tell us Community, have you tried organic cotton period care yet?
