Today we want to tell our story, which happened with us at the school in September.
3 classmates took Darina under her arms and by her legs, lifted her up. At one moment they abruptly , simultaneously threw her to the floor . As a result of the violent impact, Darina sustained several injuries:
- traumatic brain injury with concussion;
- clinical amnesia for the event and anterograde;
- whiplash injury to the neck with cervicogenic headache;
- cervical spine tender midline and paramedian, loss of lordosis (physiological bend of the spine);
- spasm in the right trapezius and sternocleidomastoid muscle;
- pain in the greater occipital nerve area of the right side;
- linitation in cervical flexion and extension range of motion.
After the incident, Darina constantly feels severe headaches, which do not allow her to live normally, to concentrate on her lessons. Any movements and turns of the head are very constrained and are accompanied by severe pain. She is constantly in a sleepy condition. She is forbidden to do any sport, like running, jumping, swimming, horse riding, rhythmic gymnastics, and etc.
Darina’s life is divided into Before and After.
Till this day, we are still in rehab and regular attend a physiotherapy sessions.
We want to leave this post here as a memory of what happened. And perhaps one day, these girls will see the result of their joke, and understand how serious the consequences can be...
