Tamunangue/ Sones de Negros is the rhythm, the ceremony and the ocassion. It is a solstice Celebration and a ritual of gratitude to the past and future harvests. This ritual it is also celebrated when you have received a miracle... Let's say someone have been ill and you offer a Tamunangue for the health of that person...the stories of this are many. This is one of the many traditions that happen in Lara State where I come from in Venezuela. So around solstice time it's Tamunangue time!
